Plysk

Terms of Service

Last updated 29 July 2026

These terms cover what you can expect from Plysk and what we expect from you. We have tried to keep them readable rather than impressive. If something here is unclear, ask us before you rely on your own interpretation of it.

1. Accepting these terms

Creating a Plysk account means you accept these terms. If you are setting up an account for a company or another person, you are confirming that you are allowed to accept these terms on their behalf.

You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live. If you are not, please do not create an account.

2. What Plysk provides

Plysk is a website builder. You design a site from a template in your browser, and when you publish it we generate static files and serve them from a content delivery network. Depending on your plan, your account may also include a custom domain, mailboxes on that domain, and the ability to take payments on your site.

Every plan includes one website. Your site is always reachable at a Plysk subdomain (something like site-abc123.plysk.site), and that address keeps working even after you connect a custom domain.

We add, change and occasionally retire features. We will not remove something you are actively paying for without telling you first.

3. Your account

Give us accurate details and keep them current — particularly your email address, since that is how we reach you about renewals, billing problems and service issues. We ask you to verify your email address when you sign up.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by someone you gave access to. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account.

One person or organisation per account. Do not share a single account between unrelated businesses in order to avoid paying for a second one.

4. Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, in US dollars, at the price shown when you subscribe. We do not offer annual billing. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store your card details ourselves.

Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your account.

If we change the price of a plan, the new price applies to your next renewal and we will tell you before it takes effect. Prices are exclusive of any tax that applies where you are, unless we say otherwise at checkout.

If a payment fails we will retry it and email you. If it keeps failing, we may downgrade or suspend the account — see Suspension and termination.

5. The Free plan

The Free plan does not require a credit card. Sites published on it carry a small "Made with plysk.com" badge, and custom domains are not included — a paid plan is required to connect one.

We may limit, pause or remove free accounts that have been inactive for a long stretch, or that are being used to work around the limits of a paid plan. We will email you before removing anything.

6. Refunds

If you are unhappy with a paid plan, contact us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it.

After that, subscriptions are not refundable for partial months: cancelling stops the next charge rather than refunding the current one. If we fail to deliver the service and cannot put it right, talk to us — we would rather sort it out than argue about it.

Domain registrations are the exception and are never refundable, because we pay the registry for them the moment you buy. See Domains registered through Plysk.

7. Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us, we may suspend the account while it is resolved and charge $50 to cover the cost the dispute imposes on us.

This is not us being difficult about genuine mistakes. Almost every dispute we have seen would have taken one email to fix, so please send that email first.

8. Cancelling

You can cancel whenever you like. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then stops.

When a paid plan ends, your published site is taken offline and your account reverts to the Free plan's limits. Your site content stays in your account so you can export it or resubscribe, but we may delete the data of accounts that have been cancelled and dormant for an extended period. Download anything you care about before you cancel.

Cancelling a plan does not cancel a domain you registered through us — that runs on its own registration term. See the domain section.

9. Your content

Your content stays yours. Text, images, code and anything else you upload or create in the builder belongs to you, and we do not claim ownership of it.

To run the service we need your permission to store, copy, adapt and publicly serve that content — that is what hosting a website consists of. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to do so for as long as you use Plysk, and only for the purpose of operating and promoting the service you asked for. It ends when you delete the content or close your account.

You are responsible for having the rights to everything you publish, including images, fonts and text you did not create yourself. If you use one of our templates, the template and its stock assets are licensed to you for use on sites you build with Plysk, and not for redistribution on their own.

10. Acceptable use

Do not use Plysk to publish, host, store or distribute:

  • anything illegal where you are or where we operate;
  • sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises minors — this results in immediate termination and a report to the relevant authorities;
  • content that harasses, threatens, or incites violence against people or groups;
  • malware, phishing pages, or anything designed to deceive visitors into handing over credentials, payments or personal data;
  • material that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
  • fraudulent schemes, fake storefronts, or "investment" offers you cannot honour.

And do not:

  • attempt to break, probe or overload our infrastructure, or anyone else's from it;
  • use the platform to proxy, tunnel or relay traffic unrelated to your own site;
  • impersonate someone else, including us;
  • resell Plysk as if it were your own service without an arrangement with us.

We would rather warn you than terminate you, and for anything ambiguous we will normally get in touch first. For the items in the first list, we may act immediately.

11. Fair use of resources

Published sites are static files served from a CDN, so ordinary traffic — including a sudden spike because something you made did well — is fine and you do not need to warn us about it.

What is not fine is using the hosting as general-purpose file storage or a download mirror, or otherwise consuming resources in a way that affects other customers. If your usage becomes a problem we will contact you and try to find a sensible arrangement before taking any action.

12. Domains you already own

On a paid plan you can connect a domain you registered elsewhere by pointing it at us with the DNS records we show you. You keep the registration and stay responsible for renewing it with your registrar.

Your site will not load on that domain until the DNS change has propagated and a TLS certificate has been issued for it. Both steps depend on systems outside our control and can take anywhere from a few minutes to a day. Your Plysk subdomain keeps serving throughout.

A domain can only be connected to one Plysk site at a time. If your domain expires or its DNS stops pointing at us, your site stops loading on it — nothing on our side can prevent that.

13. Domains registered through Plysk

You can also register a domain through us. We act as a reseller for an accredited registrar, and registrations are subject to ICANN's rules and the policies of the registry that operates the extension.

  • You are the registrant. The domain is registered in your name using the contact details you provide. Those details must be accurate and kept up to date — ICANN requires it, and a domain with invalid contact details can be suspended by the registry.
  • Registrations are not refundable. We pay the registry immediately and cannot get that back, including if you mistype the name. Check it before you buy.
  • Renewals are automatic by default. We attempt renewal ahead of the expiry date and charge you for it. You can turn this off, but if you do, the domain will lapse at the end of its term and we cannot guarantee it can be recovered. Recovering a lapsed domain, where it is possible at all, costs considerably more than renewing it.
  • Free first year. Some plans include a domain for the first year. If you cancel that plan, or the domain enters its second year, renewal is charged at the normal price. The domain remains yours either way.
  • Transfers. You can transfer a domain away from us once the registry's rules allow it — typically 60 days after registration or a previous transfer. We will not hold your domain hostage.

We cannot guarantee that a domain you search for will still be available by the time you complete the purchase; domains are registered on a first-come basis and a failed purchase is refunded.

14. Email accounts

Paid plans include mailboxes on your custom domain. Email carries obligations that website hosting does not, so these apply specifically to it:

  • Only send to people who asked to hear from you. No purchased lists, no scraped addresses, no "they did business with us once" lists.
  • No unsolicited bulk email of any kind. This is the fastest way to get an account terminated, because the damage is not limited to you: spam from our infrastructure harms deliverability for every other customer on it.
  • Do not forge sender addresses or send on behalf of domains you do not control.
  • Mailboxes are for ordinary human correspondence. Sending is rate-limited, and bulk marketing should go through a service built for it.
  • Repeatedly sending to addresses that do not exist, or generating a significant volume of spam complaints, is grounds for suspension.

We may block or throttle sending, without notice, where it is needed to protect the reputation of the infrastructure other customers depend on.

15. Selling through your site

Where your plan allows you to take payments, you are the seller. Your relationship with your customers, and with whichever payment provider you connect, is yours — we are not a party to it and are not the merchant of record for your sales.

That means you are responsible for describing what you sell accurately, fulfilling orders, handling your own refunds and disputes, and meeting any tax, consumer-protection or licensing obligations that apply to your business.

16. Forms and visitor data

If your site has a form, the details your visitors submit are collected and stored so you can read them. That information belongs to your visitors; you decide what you collect and why, and we process it on your behalf in order to run the service.

You are responsible for telling your visitors what you collect and for having a lawful basis to collect it, which in most places means publishing your own privacy notice. Do not use forms to gather passwords, card numbers, or government identification numbers.

17. Availability

We aim for 99.9% availability of published sites, measured monthly and excluding scheduled maintenance, problems with your own domain or DNS, and failures of upstream providers we depend on.

We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Where we fall short of the target over a month, contact us and we will credit your account in proportion to the shortfall. Credit against your bill is the remedy for downtime.

The builder itself — the part you log into — may be taken down for maintenance more readily than published sites, which are served independently of it. In other words, if our admin is offline, your visitors usually will not notice.

18. Backups

We keep backups of the platform for our own disaster-recovery purposes, and previous published versions of your site are retained for a period so a bad publish can be undone.

These are not a substitute for your own copies, and we do not guarantee that we can restore an individual account's data on request. Keep your own copies of anything you would be upset to lose — particularly original images and text you do not have elsewhere.

19. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that:

  • breaks the acceptable use rules;
  • has not paid after we have retried the payment and contacted you;
  • is causing a security, legal or operational problem we need to stop immediately;
  • disputes charges rather than raising them with us.

Except where the problem requires us to act at once, we will contact you first and give you a reasonable chance to fix it. Where we close an account for non-payment or a fixable breach, we will keep your data for a reasonable period so you can retrieve it.

You can close your account at any time. We may also stop offering the service entirely, in which case we will give you as much notice as we reasonably can and refund any period you have paid for but not received.

20. Changes to the service and these terms

We will update these terms from time to time. When a change materially affects your rights, we will email you and give you notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use Plysk after that means you accept the updated terms; if you would rather not, cancel and we will refund any unused period.

The date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.

21. Disclaimer

Plysk is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements, that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that data will never be lost. We are not responsible for failures caused by things outside our control, including your domain registrar, your DNS provider, your payment provider, or the networks between us and your visitors.

22. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost business or lost data, however it arises.

Our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep the statutory rights your local law gives you, and nothing here overrides them.

23. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of what you published, what you sold, or how you used the service, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and damages arising from it. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and give you the chance to take control of the defence.

24. Privacy

We collect what we need to run the service: your account details, billing records, the content of your site, and operational logs. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not read the contents of your mailboxes except where we need to diagnose a specific problem you have reported or where the law requires it.

We use third parties to deliver parts of the service — cloud hosting, the content delivery network, the payment provider, the domain registrar and the mail platform — and they receive only what they need to perform their role. Data is stored on infrastructure located in the United States.

We disclose information to authorities only where we are legally required to, and we will tell you when we are permitted to do so.

25. Governing law

will be provided asap!

26. Contact and reporting abuse

Questions about these terms, your account or your bill: office@plysk.com.

To report a site or mailbox hosted by us that you believe breaks these rules, email the same address with the domain and what you have seen. We read every report. Copyright complaints should identify the work, where it appears on our platform, and how to reach you.
